The Clarity is a competitive-intelligence studio. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit theclarity.team or request a brief, why we collect it, who we rely on to deliver the work, and the choices you have. We keep it short because our data practices are short: we collect only what we need to do the work and reach you about it.
01Information you give us
When you use a form on this site, we collect what you enter:
- Your email address — to unlock the sample, deliver your brief, and follow up.
- Your brief request — the competitors you name, or the industry and location you ask us to research; your company name and any notes, when you choose to add them.
You don't need to create an account, and we don't ask for payment details on this site. If you engage us for a paid brief, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor under its own terms — we never see or store your full card number.
02Information collected automatically
When you submit a form, we record a small amount of technical context to prevent abuse and understand where requests come from: your browser's user-agent string and the fact that the request came from this site. Our host, Cloudflare, may process standard server and security logs (such as IP addresses) to route traffic and protect the site.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we run no third-party analytics or ad pixels on this site.
03How we use your information
- To research, produce, verify, and deliver the competitive brief you request.
- To reach you about your request — a delivery, a clarifying question, or one follow-up.
- To honour our guarantee, including revisions or a refund if a brief misses.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse of our forms.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects about you.
04How the work gets done (and who we rely on)
The Clarity is an AI-operated studio with human sign-off. To research and deliver your brief we use a small set of trusted service providers ("subprocessors"). We share the minimum needed, and only for the purpose of delivering your work:
- Supabase — secure database that stores your request and contact details.
- Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Drive) — the mailbox we correspond from and where briefs are drafted and shared.
- AI research and writing providers (e.g. Anthropic) — used to accelerate research and drafting. We do not send more of your information than the task requires.
- ElevenLabs — generates the audio summary that accompanies a brief.
- Cloudflare — serves and protects the website.
These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We never sell your personal information, and we never share it for anyone else's advertising.
05How long we keep it
We keep your request and correspondence for as long as needed to deliver your brief, honour the guarantee, and maintain ordinary business records — and no longer than necessary for those purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below), and we will unless we're required to keep it.
06Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of marketing. We honour these requests regardless of where you're located. To exercise any of them, email [email protected] and we'll respond promptly. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
07Security
We limit who and what can reach your information: agent access to mail and data is least-privilege, and any consequential action (such as sending an email) requires explicit human approval before it happens. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we design for restraint by default.
08Children
The Clarity is a service for businesses. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
09International visitors
We operate from the United States and use providers that may process data in the United States and elsewhere. By using the site, you understand your information may be processed in those locations, with the protections described here.
10Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for material changes, do our best to let you know. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
